Foiling technology is commonly used for the surface finishing of book covers, stickers, marketing materials where the foil has both a protective and a supportive function. The quality of BOPP films used can be glossy, matt, scratch resistant matt, structured, pearl, velvet effect soft-touch, and are laminated onto the surfaces by our two types of high capacity machines.
On the Billhofer JEK 76/114 with water glue hotmelt laminating (100–400 g/m2can be laminated. A special moisture barrier adhesive layer, developed for us, is applied to the foil in a controlled thickness and 80% of the moisture content is evaporated on a hot drum and pressed onto the prints.
The drying cylinder can be heated so that the so-called thermo films can be processed. The line is equipped with a dust removal device and a calendering machine.
The SW-1050GL Automatic chain cutter laminator can apply a so-called thermo foil on a paper surface of up to 1050×1240 mm.
